What does the customs terminal ask you?

Did November 1, 2026 change what the terminal asks?

• The confirmation stands between the purchase and the money. The tax-included price is paid in the shop, and the tax returns after the departure step.
• One buyer, one shop, one day becomes a single total. The general goods and consumables split is abolished.

Anything bought on or before October 31, 2026 belongs to the older arrangement, where the tax came off at the till.

What does not depend on the screen?

• The passport does the identifying. It is presented at the register when the purchase is recorded, and it is what the terminal reads at departure.

Rehearse the parts that are known. Look your airport up on the Customs map, put the passport in a pocket rather than a zipped compartment, and know which bag the purchases are in.
